Dr. Ramakant
Shukla Born on 24.12.1940 at Khurja (U.P.) Dr. Ramakant
Shukla learnt Sanskrit from his parents in his very
childhood at home. Thereafter, he studied Sahitya
Acharya traditionally and obtained the degree of M.A.
(Hindi) with Gold Medal & M.A. (Sanskrit) in 1st
Division from Agra University. He also got Ph.D. degree
from there in the year 1967. He taught Sanskrit, Pali,
Prakrit & Apabhramsha to M.A. (Hindi) students from
1962 to 2005 at Modi Nagar and Delhi. He chaired
Classical Sanskrit, Modern Sanskrit Literature, Prakrit &
Jainism and Indian Aesthatics & Poetics Sections of All
India Oriental Conference. He attended World Sanskrit
Conference in the country and abroad.
Works
His works Bhati Me Bharat-am is famous among the
publication edited several Sanskrit books. His Sanskrit
poems have been broadcast & telecast from Radio &
T.V. since 1963 till-date. He is honored with Kalidasa
Samman, Sanskrit Sahitya Seva Samman & Sanskrit
Rashtrakavi title by various institutions. He is Founder
Chief Editor of ‘Arvacheena-Sanskritam’, the quarterly
journal of ‘Deva-vani Parishad, Delhi’.
Presently he is working as Shastra Chudamani Vidwan
at Rashtriya Sanskrit Sanskrit Sansthan, Head Quarters,
New Delhi. Dr. Shukla is President Awardee Sanskrit
Scholar in 2009.
