The All-India Oriental Conference,
which has for the last eight decades served as the national forum of scholars
interested in Orientology, will hold its 42nd Session at Varanasi
under the auspices of the Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, on 4th, 5th
& 6th November, 2004.
The General President of the Conference is Professor (Dr.) K.K.
Chaturvedi, Former Director, Kalidasa Academy, Professor Rajendra Mishra,
Vice-Chancellor, Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi 221 002, has

enroll themselves as Members of the Conference by filling in the accompanying
Membership Form. The subscription for the Session is Rs.100/- and
life-membership subscription is Rs.1000/-.
The membership form, duly filled in and accompanied by the necessary
amount of subscription, is to be sent to the General Secretary, AIOC,
Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Pune 411 004.
The amount should be sent by Demand
Draft (drawn in favour of the General Secretary and payable at Pune) only. Cheques
will not be accepted. Life
Members are also required to fill in the accompanying form and forward it to the
General Secretary, AIOC, Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Pune 411 004.
The last date for registration of membership is
5th
August 2004
.
The fee for lodging and boarding will be decided by the Local Secretary.
Scholars are requested to submit research papers typed,
in duplicate (one copy to the Local Secretary and one to the Sectional
President), for any of the Sections of the Session. The papers should be of
the nature of ORIGINAL CONTRIBUTION to the subject. They should not exceed ten
double-spaced typed pages, and each should be accompanied by a summary
not exceeding three hundred words. The
papers, along with their summaries should be sent to the Local Secretary
not later than
15th
September 2004
.
